Nextory is one of Sweden’s largest providers of e-book and digital audiobook subscriptions. A German version of the site was launched in spring 2019. Since 2018, Nextory and Libreka have been working together to offer readers an attractive catalogue of German-language content. Libreka supports Nextory mainly in the acquisition of digital distribution rights and in the delivery and normalisation of content and metadata.

Perlego calls itself “Spotify for Textbooks” and offers students and trainers unlimited access to non-fiction and reference books. In autumn 2019, the platform, which is already successful in Great Britain, will receive a German offshoot. Libreka will approach German-language publishers on behalf of Perlego to present the British company and business model. If necessary, the necessary rights of use will be acquired and digital content will be made available for further distribution.

The US company OverDrive is the world’s leading provider of digital library services. OverDrive provides e-books, digital audio books, magazines and films to over 43,000 public libraries and schools. Since 2018, Libreka has presented and distributed OverDrive’s library platform to public libraries in German-speaking countries. Customers include the public libraries of Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. Since 2016, Libreka has also been supplying OverDrive with e-books from German publishers and making them available for borrowing worldwide.

Haufe Discovery, a company of the Haufe Group, supports customers such as Siemens, Bosch and MAN in procuring media from magazines to specialist literature to electronic books from a single source in a cost-optimized manner and managing them centrally via a company portal adapted to the customer. Libreka delivers several hundred thousand electronic contents to this e-procurement system and thus ensures that employees in the respective companies can conveniently access requested contents and publishers can generate additional sales without additional effort.

lesio – findet Bücher gut

Startup Lesio offers an app that allows users to browse samples of selected books and read up to 15% of the books instantly. Libreka has provided the company with a catalogue of reading samples since 2018, from which the Lesio team selects the best ones and suggests them to readers for appropriate reading.

Learning with electronic media is increasing and the Swiss company offers an innovative solution: learning content can be used digitally and classically, as e-books and as printed learning materials. Edubase promises to work flexibly with the tablet or in the browser and learn traditionally with the printed book. In order to be able to provide the digital content, Libreka approaches selected publishers on behalf of Edubase and clarifies the rights and accounting with them.
